Week 5 EOC: Tweets

I chose a tweet about Jaden Smith, talking about how he knew he would never be understood even as a baby. He thought differently about life, when he was a kid, everyone looked at him differently, he said. Therefore, he made a clothing line. I chose this tweet because we have always known he is different, he is Will Smith’s son, of course he’s different. He was raised different than everyone else. He had his dad’s role model in life, so he would’ve want to be like him or even better.
The other tweet I chose was another officer pinning an African American woman down, with her feet in the air. The news said he did without even questioning her or her doing anything whatsoever. I chose this tweet because this has been happening a lot lately. And white people don’t care obviously because they’re not the ones that would get pulled over for no reason. The only reason being that they’re Black. And I’m not an African American woman but I do have family that are and this bothers me a lot. Policemen think that they can do whatever they please to just because they are police, and it’s not right.
The third tweet I chose is about Donald Trump criticizing President Obama and Hillary Clinton for actions he previously supported. In 2011, Donald Trump expressed support for the over-throw of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and for some intervening action in Libya, despite his current claims to the contrary. Trump on Monday criticized President Obama and Hilary Clinton for supporting Mubarak’s overthrow and for intervening in Libya, even when they uncovered two previously unreported interviews where he expressed those positions.
